Business Analyst – Commercial Systems (Sales & Marketing) – Hull, Hybrid

Are you the kind of BA who wants to actually own something, not just log tickets and wait? We're working with a business that's growing its Commercial Systems team and needs a second BA to work alongside their existing couple - one of whom has just been promoted to Commercial Manager.

That's not a coincidence. It means support, structure, and a clear path if you want one.

What you'll be doing

This isn't a "sit and wait for requirements" kind of role.

You'll be:

  • Working closely with Sales & Marketing stakeholders to understand what they actually need - not just what they've written down
  • Turning that into clear requirements, process flows and functional specs
  • Working with Jira, acceptance criteria, and developers to get things built properly
  • Testing, training end-users, and making sure what ships actually gets used
  • Getting involved in real campaign and platform work inside Salesforce - the kind where you're asking "where should this email come from, what's the wording, who picks up the task" and shaping the detail yourself

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What they care about

Yes, they want someone who's been a BA for a couple of years.

But more than that, they want:

  • Someone who wants to learn and grow into the role, not just do the minimum
  • A genuine team player - someone who pulls their weight without being asked twice
  • Someone who's happy being local and in the office, working closely with people day to day

You don't need years and years of experience. You do need the right attitude, and a willingness to pick things up quickly.

The technical bit

  • 1-3 years' experience as a Business Analyst
  • Comfortable gathering requirements and working with developers to deliver against them
  • Some exposure to Sales & Marketing processes is a big plus - whether that's as a BA or before you became one - though, to be clear, this isn’t an essential, just a “very nice to have”
  • Salesforce experience is a bonus, not a dealbreaker
  • A full driving licence is a must - you'll spend the occasional bit of time across other sites and occasionally out with the sales team

Why this is worth a look

Most BA roles are "wait for the brief, build to spec."

This one isn't.

  • You'll be working directly with Sales & Marketing, not buried in back-office tickets
  • You'll get real support and mentoring from someone who's done the job for years
  • There's a genuine path to Senior BA and beyond, plus support to work toward your IIBA qualification

If you're good, local, and want to build a career here rather than just fill a seat - this is one to look at properly.
