D365 Field Service Business Analyst
Utilities | Outside IR35 | £400-£500 per day | Initial 3-Month Contract
Location: Primarily Remote (occasional travel to the Cheltenham/Oxford area – typically once per week)

We're currently supporting a leading utilities organisation as they continue their Microsoft Dynamics 365 transformation programme. They are looking for an experienced D365 Field Service Business Analyst to join the team on an initial 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering and enhancing D365 Field Service capabilities across a business-critical programme.
The Role
As the D365 Field Service Business Analyst, you'll work closely with business stakeholders, product owners and technical teams to capture, analyse and document requirements, ensuring D365 Field Service is configured to support operational processes and improve field workforce efficiency.

You'll act as the bridge between the business and technical teams, helping to shape solutions and ensure successful delivery throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyse and document business requirements for D365 Field Service enhancements and implementations.
- Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to understand current and future-state processes.
- Produce high-quality functional specifications, process maps and user stories.
- Work closely with solution architects, developers and third-party partners to ensure requirements are successfully delivered.
- Support solution design, configuration, testing and UAT activities.
- Identify opportunities to optimise field service operations and business processes.
- Provide stakeholder management across both business and technical teams.
- Support project delivery through implementation, go-live and hypercare phases.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Field Service projects.
- Strong understanding of D365 Field Service functionality, workflows, scheduling and mobile capabilities.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Experience working on end-to-end D365 implementation or transformation programmes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience
- Utilities industry experience.
- Facilities Management (FM) experience.
- Experience with Field Service scheduling and resource optimisation.
- Agile delivery experience.
Contract Details
- Initial Contract: 3 Months
- Day Rate: £400-£500 per day
- IR35 Status: Outside IR35
- Location: Primarily remote, with occasional travel (typically once per week) to the Cheltenham/Oxford area.
