Role Summary

Sparta Global are hiring a Business Analyst with prior experience working on ERP programmes to support business change and systems delivery. This role will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to define requirements, understand existing processes and ensure solutions meet business needs.

Please note, this role is an initial 6-Month FTC and requires 2 days per month on-site in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops and process reviews.
  • Map current and future business processes, identifying gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritise requirements and agree scope, ensuring alignment with programme objectives.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria, as appropriate to the delivery approach.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and ERP implementation partners to assess how requirements can be met through system functionality and process changes.
  • Identify dependencies and assess the impact of proposed changes across business functions, systems and users.
  • Support user acceptance testing by defining test scenarios, clarifying expected outcomes and helping resolve defects.
  • Maintain requirements traceability, manage changes to agreed requirements and support business sign-off.
  • Contribute to implementation readiness, supporting process documentation, user guidance and handover to operational teams.

  • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst on ERP implementations, upgrades or transformation programmes.
  • Strong experience in requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation, with the ability to distinguish business needs from proposed solutions.
  • Experience mapping current and future processes and conducting gap analysis.
  • Ability to facilitate workshops, manage differing stakeholder priorities and build effective relationships across business and technical teams.
  • Experience working with ERP implementation partners or technical specialists to translate requirements into deliverable solutions.
  • Understanding of the wider impact of ERP changes on business processes, data and users.
  • Experience supporting user acceptance testing and securing stakeholder agreement on requirements and outcomes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with clear written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a wider programme team.
