Business Analyst & Strategy Associate CTS
Company & Role Description
Founded in 2002, Tanner Pharma Group is a specialty service provider in the biopharmaceutical industry focused on improving patient access to medicines on a global basis. Tanner Pharma offers its biopharmaceutical partners a portfolio of four distinct service offerings that span the product lifecycle from clinical development to commercialization. With its global headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina and offices in the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and Ireland, Tanner Pharma is in a phase of rapid growth.
Tanner Clinical Trial Services (CTS) supports clinical trials through product sourcing and procurement; packaging, labeling, and kitting; storage and distribution; and associated supply and logistics services. The B Analyst & Strategy Associate works directly with the EVP of CTS and the senior Business Development team in a chief-of-staff-style capacity: turning market, customer, and performance data into insight, running the operating rhythm that keeps the team aligned, and making sure priorities move from discussion to done. This is a high-visibility, high-learning role designed for an exceptionally sharp early-career professional, with a clear development path into business development, strategy, or operations leadership.
Role Accountabilities
The Business Analyst & Strategy Associate will be a hands-on partner to CTS leadership across commercial analytics, business tracking, and execution. Key responsibilities include:
- Operating rhythm (EOS / L-10): Run the CTS leadership and BD meeting cadence, including weekly Level 10 (L-10) meetings – prepare agendas and scorecards, track Rocks and to-dos, maintain the issues list, capture decisions, and drive follow-through to closure.
- KPI and business tracking: Own the CTS scorecard and KPI dashboards (pipeline, bookings, win rate, revenue, margin, and key operational metrics); flag trends and gaps early and recommend corrective actions.
- Market and competitive intelligence: Use GlobalData and other sources to analyze clinical-trial landscapes, sponsor and Contract Research Organization (CRO) activity, and competitor moves; build target account lists and pre-meeting prospect briefs for BD executives.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and pipeline management: Maintain CRM data quality and discipline across the BD team; produce weekly pipeline reports and forecasts; support account planning and opportunity reviews.
- AI-enabled productivity: Use AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, proposal drafting, and reporting; identify and help implement new AI use cases that make the BD team faster and more effective.
- Proposal and Request for Proposal (RFP) support: Coordinate inputs for Request for Information (RFIs), RFPs, and proposals across functions; support pricing and opportunity models in partnership with Finance and Operations.
- Executive communications: Prepare clear, concise presentations, briefing documents, and materials for customer pitches, conferences, leadership reviews, and executive updates.
- Strategic projects: Lead or support special projects for the EVP of CTS, such as market and service-line assessments and process improvements, and support annual budget and monthly forecast preparation in partnership with Finance.
- Cross-functional coordination: Act as the connector between Business Development, Project Management, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, and Finance to keep initiatives on track and stakeholders informed.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
