Business Analyst | Contract 6 Months Inside IR35 | London/Hybrid
Role:
We are partnering with a leading Financial Markets firm seeking a Business Analyst.
This is a specialist BA role focused on real-time market data, observability and service health, working closely with Product, Engineering and Operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Identify gaps in service visibility, data quality and operational monitoring across network, computing, application and content delivery.
- Explain the business and customer impact of these issues in a way that supports effective decision-making.
- Map the journeys of operations engineers, product managers and senior leaders, identifying pain points and defining what a better experience looks like.
- Translate user needs into platform requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams.
- Help define meaningful measures of service health for a global, low-latency market data platform.
- Support the development of a common data model for measuring whether market data is available, timely, accurate and complete from source to customer endpoint.
- Create and share clear strategy documents, capability maps, data model specifications and other materials for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Strong Business Analysis background within financial markets
- Direct experience with market data, exchange connectivity, data feeds or low-latency environments
- Experience gathering requirements, mapping user journeys and defining business problems
- Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills
- Exposure to observability, metrics, SLIs/SLOs, data modelling or service health would be highly beneficial
