Business Analyst at MACH

As a Business Analyst at MACH, you will act as the critical bridge between our financial services clients and our software development teams. You will be responsible for eliciting, analysing, and translating complex business requirements, particularly across digital assets, tokenisation, and market infrastructure, into clear, actionable user stories and functional specifications that drive delivery.

This role suits a commercially minded analyst who is equally comfortable in client workshops and sprint planning sessions, someone who understands how capital markets and digital asset ecosystems operate, and who can engage credibly with both business stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure solutions are delivered that genuinely meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead requirements-gathering sessions with clients, facilitating workshops to elicit, challenge, and validate business needs across digital asset and financial services use cases.
  • Translate business requirements into well-structured user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications suitable for Agile development teams.
  • Document current-state business processes, workflows, and use cases, verifying accuracy with clients and internal teams before baseline sign-off.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and work with clients and internal stakeholders to design future-state operating models, particularly in the context of digital asset adoption and tokenised workflows.
  • Present and communicate specifications clearly to software development teams, ensuring requirements are understood, estimated, and prioritised appropriately within the product backlog.
  • Act as the client-side voice throughout the development lifecycle, providing ongoing clarification, managing scope, and ensuring delivered functionality remains aligned with original business intent.
  • Support and oversee user acceptance testing (UAT), verifying that software functionality meets agreed requirements and specifications before client sign-off.
  • Support clients in articulating and documenting their own business requirements where needed, acting as a trusted advisor rather than simply an order-taker.
  • Deliver training, presentations, and demonstrations of MACH’s software to clients and internal staff, ensuring adoption and understanding of new functionality.
  • Identify, escalate, and help resolve issues or blockers experienced by clients or internal team members, maintaining clear communication throughout.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
