Business Analyst

£65,000 - £75,000 + Benefits

Location: London

Work Arrangement: 2-3 days a week on site


We’re supporting a large financial services organisation that is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join its team in London.


This role will sit at the heart of business change and technology delivery, working closely with clients, internal stakeholders, project managers, and software development teams to define requirements, improve processes, and ensure solutions are delivered effectively.


The role would suit someone who enjoys solving complex problems, improving processes, and working directly with clients to deliver technology solutions that have a tangible business impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Capture, analyse, and document clear and concise business requirements.
  • Produce detailed requirements documentation, specifications, and supporting process documentation.
  • Document current-state business processes and use cases, validating these with clients and internal teams.
  • Analyse and improve existing processes to support future operational requirements and scenarios.
  • Present requirements and specifications to software development and delivery teams.
  • Work closely with development teams throughout delivery, representing the client and business perspective.
  • Oversee the development of functionality, ensuring solutions remain aligned with agreed requirements.
  • Support and oversee testing to ensure delivered functionality meets the original requirements and specifications.
  • Work directly with clients to help them define, structure, and document their business requirements.
  • Deliver training, presentations, and demonstrations to clients and internal teams on system functionality.
  • Build a strong understanding of client and internal challenges, clearly communicating issues and helping to identify effective solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with project and delivery teams to ensure business objectives are achieved.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally within a consulting or client-facing environment.
  • Experience supporting financial services clients or working within financial services.
  • Strong client relationship management skills, with a proven ability to build trusted partnerships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, communicate them clearly, and develop practical solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and business processes and turn analysis into actionable insights.
  • Experience with business process modelling, requirements gathering, and documentation.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and delivery tools such as SQL, Excel, BI tools, and Jira.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear and concise requirements, process documentation, and reports.
  • Comfortable presenting information and demonstrating software functionality to clients and stakeholders.
