Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from utility stakeholders.
  • Work closely with business users, product owners, and technical teams to translate requirements into functional specifications.
  • Conduct gap analysis, process mapping, and impact assessment for market-related initiatives.
  • Support implementation and enhancement of utility market systems and processes.
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder discussions, and requirement elicitation sessions.
  • Create BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with QA teams for UAT planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with utility industry regulations, market rules, and governance standards.
  • Support change management activities and business process improvements.

  • Knowledge of Wholesale and Retail Energy Markets.
  • Familiarity with market mechanisms such as:
    • Day-Ahead Market (DAM)
    • Intraday Market (IDM)
    • Balancing Mechanism
    • Capacity Market
    • Ancillary Services
  • Knowledge of energy trading lifecycle and settlement processes.
  • Understanding of market participants including Suppliers, Generators, Traders, DNOs/DSOs, TSOs, and Regulators.
  • Experience working with utility market platforms and regulatory frameworks.
