Your Role

As a Business Analyst, your mission is to ensure the financial data is recorded accurately and reflects the business real situation. Being a business partner by interpreting the financial language to business language in order to drive meaningful actions from related functions such as sourcing, warehouse and production to achieve the company goal. Summarize the financial insights through deep dive analysis and collaborative meetings. Present the insights with various reports and visualization. You will report to our Business Controller.

You will

  • Perform monthly cost simulation (CC7) and annual cost roll activities timely and accurately.
  • Investigate and resolve the costing errors and warnings through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarize with PK reduction programs. Track and evaluate the financial impact and update monthly. Bring the project team on the same page of financial status.
  • Actively monitor and assess inventory status:
    • Support timely closing:
      • Perform inventory reconciliation and booking.
      • Investigate the reason of GL and SL difference.
    • Analyze inventory cost including stock adjustments, scrap and inventory revaluation variance.
  • Inventory reports and analysis:
    • Update E&O provision, blocked stock, goods receive, Last-Time-Buy stock, and STOACT status.
    • Analyze the change of inventory on hand balance month over month. Highlight the primary change items and comment on the reason.
  • Drive inventory reduction through analysis insights. Join collaborative inventory meetings and projects and develop realistic inventory balance (BS) and inventory cost (P&L) forecast.
  • Standard cost variance analysis and booking.
  • Support annual audit requests from EY, focusing on inventory and costing.

To succeed, you will need

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance or Business Administration and 3+ years working experience in Finance in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably using SAP ERP system.
  • Cost Accounting, especially in Product costing and variances in manufacturing.
  • Experience in driving inventory reduction through comprehensive analysis.
  • P&L and Balance Sheet understanding. Have knowledge on US GAAP or IFRS accounting rule is a plus.
  • Good MS Office, especially in Excel and Outlook. Capable of building SQL query, Power BI reports or applying other business intelligence or AI application is a strong selection criteria.
  • Have business acumen and able to bridge understanding between financial data and business language especially with sourcing, warehouse and production.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Diligent and deliver results within deadline.
  • Have high sense of accountability and can-do attitude.
  • Good team player and communicator.
  • Have curiosity to relentlessly pursue root cause analysis and translate it into business language.
