Business Analyst at London, UK – 2-3 days per week Onsite

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Data Analyst to support the organization's employee experience and workforce analytics initiatives. The role will focus on assessing and consolidating colleague insights generated across multiple business functions, understanding the underlying processes, identifying opportunities for improvement, and translating business needs into actionable requirements.

The ideal candidate will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders, HR, People Analytics teams, technology teams, and senior leadership to ensure data-driven decision-making through meaningful workforce insights. Prior experience with Microsoft Viva Insights, workforce analytics, employee engagement metrics, organizational effectiveness, and enterprise reporting solutions is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements Management

  • Engage with stakeholders across HR, Operations, Technology, and Business Units to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
  • Conduct workshops, interviews, and process discovery sessions to understand existing colleague insight generation processes.
  • Translate business needs into detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specification Documents (FSDs), user stories, process maps, and data flow diagrams.
  • Establish traceability between business objectives, requirements, and delivered solutions.

Organizational & Workforce Insights Analysis

  • Assess existing employee and organizational metrics being produced across different departments.
  • Identify overlaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities to standardize workforce analytics methodologies.
  • Analyze patterns related to employee collaboration, productivity, engagement, wellbeing, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support the development of actionable recommendations based on workforce data and insights.
  • Enable leadership teams to make informed decisions through meaningful data interpretation.

Viva Insights & People Analytics

  • Leverage Microsoft Viva Insights to analyze collaboration patterns and workplace productivity trends.
  • Interpret organizational insights generated from Viva Insights, Microsoft 365 data, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to define key workforce KPIs and analytics frameworks.
  • Support implementation and adoption of Viva Insights use cases across business units.
  • Identify opportunities to expand insight generation and reporting capabilities within the organization.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Gather, cleanse, validate, and analyze data from multiple enterprise sources.
  • Develop dashboards, scorecards, and management reports using reporting and visualization tools.
  • Perform trend analysis, root-cause analysis, and predictive assessments where applicable.
  • Present findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Monitor data quality and ensure consistency across reporting frameworks.

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with HR, Employee Experience, People Analytics, Data Engineering, and Technology teams.
  • Facilitate requirement prioritization and alignment of business objectives.
  • Support change management, communication, and user adoption initiatives.

Process Improvement & Governance

  • Evaluate existing business processes related to workforce analytics and employee insight generation.
  • Recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
  • Establish governance standards for workforce data, reporting, and analytics.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, privacy regulations, and data governance standards.
