Role Description
This is a remote, contract role for a Business Analyst with pharmaceutical commercial experience and strong skills in Snowflake, MicroStrategy, and SQL. The Business Analyst will work closely with pharma commercial stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements for data, analytics, and reporting solutions.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Translating business needs into technical specifications
- Designing and validating dashboards and reports in MicroStrategy
- Performing data analysis and querying in Snowflake and SQL to support decision-making
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Supporting data quality and governance initiatives
- Preparing clear documentation, presentations, and status updates
- Contributing to process improvements
- Supporting testing and user acceptance
- Ensuring solutions align with industry regulations and organizational standards

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex pharmaceutical commercial data to generate insights and recommendations.
- Business analysis expertise, including experience gathering business requirements and mapping them to technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, presenting findings, and documenting solutions.
- Experience working with business processes and business requirements within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake for data warehousing and SQL for querying, analysis, and data validation.
- Proficiency in MicroStrategy (or similar BI tools) for developing dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
- Understanding of pharma commercial operations, such as sales, marketing, field force effectiveness, and commercial analytics.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a contract-based engagement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
