Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Business Consultant, or similar role.
  • Proven experience gathering and translating complex business requirements into clear functional requirements and solution specifications.
  • Hands-on experience with e-invoicing, tax compliance, invoice automation, or finance transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of German B2B e-invoicing regulations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of XRechnung, ZUGFeRD, and GoBD is strongly preferred.
  • Experience working with SAP, ERP systems, invoice management platforms, tax technology solutions, or similar financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, tax, and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze existing invoice processes, including invoice receipt, validation, processing, approval, and archiving.
  • Define and document future-state e-invoicing processes, workflows, and business requirements.
  • Support requirements related to structured e-invoice formats, including XRechnung and ZUGFeRD.
  • Define requirements for multi-entity, multi-country, and multi-VAT business scenarios.
  • Ensure requirements address GoBD-compliant invoice archiving and scenarios involving non-recoverable input VAT.
  • Work closely with Finance, Tax, Accounts Payable, Compliance, IT, and implementation teams to ensure business and regulatory requirements are properly translated into the solution.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops and discussions to identify requirements, clarify business needs, and resolve gaps or ambiguities.
  • Prepare and maintain process flows, user stories, functional specifications, business requirements, and acceptance criteria.
  • Support the solution throughout the delivery lifecycle, including solution design, testing, defect resolution, deployment, and business readiness.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manual activities, improve process efficiency, standardize processes, and minimize tax and compliance risks.
  • Support the implementation team in ensuring that the delivered solution meets both business needs and applicable regulatory requirements.
