About the Role
We’re looking for a Business Analyst to help us understand business and product requirements and turn them into clear, actionable specifications for RightSteps. You’ll work closely with Product, UI/UX, Curriculum, Engineering, QA and other stakeholders to ensure that everyone has a clear understanding of what needs to be built and why.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyse requirements from business, product and curriculum stakeholders.
- Convert business requirements into clear user stories, functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Create process flows, user journeys, workflows and use cases.
- Work closely with Product and UI/UX teams to define and clarify product requirements.
- Collaborate with Engineering and QA teams to ensure requirements are technically clear and testable.
- Identify edge cases, dependencies, business rules and potential gaps in requirements.
- Break down complex requirements into smaller, actionable features and tasks.
- Review product designs and development outcomes against the agreed requirements.
- Participate in requirement discussions, backlog refinement, sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies.
- Analyse existing workflows and identify opportunities for process and product improvements.
- Document requirements and maintain clear product documentation.
- Use data, user feedback and product insights to support business and product decisions.
- Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Skills & Tools
- Jira / Linear – requirements, user stories and task management
- Confluence / Notion – product and requirements documentation
- Figma – understanding designs, user flows and product requirements
- Miro / FigJam / Lucidchart – process flows and workflow mapping
- Strong understanding of BRD, FRD, user stories, acceptance criteria and use cases
- Understanding of Agile / Scrum and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work effectively with Product, Design, Engineering, QA and business teams
- Good understanding of web and mobile applications

Good to Have
- Basic SQL and database knowledge
- Understanding of REST APIs and API documentation
- Experience with product analytics tools
- Experience working with EdTech, SaaS, marketplaces or subscription-based products
- Experience working with AI-powered products
- Experience designing or analysing workflows for children, parents, tutors or educational platforms
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude or similar tools for research, documentation and analysis
