About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Policy Analyst. In this role, you will be instrumental in analyzing, developing, and implementing policies related to renewable energy and carbon reduction initiatives. Your expertise will contribute to shaping the strategic direction of our programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and supporting the company's mission to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in energy policy, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across government, industry, and the community.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Energy Policy, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
- Proven experience in policy analysis, project management, or regulatory affairs within the energy sector is essential.
- Strong knowledge of UK energy regulations, renewable energy schemes, and carbon markets is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities
- Develop and analyze policies related to renewable energy and carbon reduction, ensuring alignment with government objectives and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather insights, validate policy approaches, and promote best practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of existing policies, providing recommendations for improvements and adjustments as necessary.
- Prepare detailed reports, policy briefs, and presentations to communicate findings and support decision-making processes.
- Stay informed of developments in the energy sector, including regulatory changes, technological advancements, and market trends, to ensure policies remain relevant and effective.
- Support the company’s strategic initiatives by contributing to project planning, risk assessments, and stakeholder engagement activities.
- Participate in consultations, workshops, and industry forums to represent LCCC and advocate for sustainable energy policies.
- Assist in the development of training materials and guidance documents to promote understanding and compliance across the organization and industry partners.
