About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst to join our dynamic team at Low Carbon Contracts Company. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions that underpin our contractual operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data management, provide insightful analysis to inform decision-making, and help maintain the financial health of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess a relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent are desirable. Candidates should have proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and budgeting, preferably within the energy or public sector. Strong proficiency in financial software and Excel is essential, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure are also key attributes for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve financial models and tools used for analysis and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial policies, regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather necessary financial data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Participate in audits and assist in the preparation of audit documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
