Business Analyst
About the role
We're supporting a search for a Business Analyst to join a client of ours in the financial industry. The team is small, sharp, and focused - you'll be working closely with the Snowflake data engineering team already in place, helping shape the Equity Derivatives side of the build.
This isn't a role where you'll be handed a rigid playbook - the team is lean and expects people to take real ownership, from shaping the backlog to thinking through trade-offs and solution design.
What you'll be doing
- Getting stuck into requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and process definition for the Equity Derivatives workstream
- Writing and prioritising tickets, user stories, and backlog items
- Supporting testing and QA throughout delivery
- Taking ownership of governance, backlog creation, and solution design decisions
- Making sure everything you deliver fits cleanly into the TradeAgent platform and operating model
- Working with a fair amount of autonomy - this is a small team, so you'll need to be comfortable driving things forward yourself

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
