Business Analytics Intern (Remote)

About the Company

We are hiring on behalf of one of our clients for the role of Business Analytics Intern. This remote internship is ideal for students and recent graduates who are interested in leveraging data, analytics, and business insights to support better decision-making and solve real-world business problems.

About the Role

As a Business Analytics Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, business reporting, visualization, and performance tracking. You will work with business data, create meaningful insights, and collaborate with teams in a flexible remote working environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, clean, organize, and analyze data from different business sources.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business strategies and decisions.
  • Assist in developing dashboards, reports, and analytical presentations.
  • Monitor and evaluate business performance indicators and operational metrics.
  • Support forecasting, planning, and business performance analysis activities.
  • Work with different teams to understand business needs and analytical requirements.
  • Create and maintain reports using tools such as Excel, SQL, and Business Intelligence platforms.
  • Support data-driven process improvement and optimization initiatives.
  • Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and consistency across reports and analysis.
  • Prepare documentation and communicate analytical findings to stakeholders.
  • Continuously explore new analytics tools, techniques, and industry practices.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or any related field.
  • Strong interest in analytics, reporting, and data-driven business solutions.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently while effectively collaborating in a remote team environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and data querying concepts.
  • Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
  • Understanding of business operations, KPIs, and performance measurement.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Enthusiasm to learn new analytical tools and methodologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, and data visualization.
  • Experience with SQL-based reporting and data extraction.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other BI reporting tools.
  • Experience creating dashboards and business intelligence reports.
  • Understanding of data storytelling and visualization techniques.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis concepts.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analytics is an advantage.
  • Strong decision-making and analytical thinking skills.
