Business Manager

I'm currently working with a leading global maritime and shipping services organisation that is looking to hire a Business Manager to sit at the centre of its data transformation strategy and help drive smarter, more data-driven decision making across the business.

The position sits between the Analytics function and the wider business, partnering closely with commercial, operations, finance and corporate leadership teams to identify inefficiencies, challenge legacy ways of working and deliver solutions that genuinely change how the organisation operates.

From replacing manual spreadsheets and fragmented processes to introducing self-service analytics, automation and AI-enabled tools, you'll be responsible for turning data into practical business outcomes. This is a highly visible role where you'll be expected to challenge the status quo, influence senior stakeholders and lead divisions towards more efficient, scalable and insight-driven ways of working.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
