Description
LOCALiQ, the digital marketing arm of Newsquest Media Group, one of the UK’s largest regional media companies, is seeking a talented, detail-driven Business and Customer Insight Administrator to join our Business and Customer Insight (BCI) team.
This role plays a key part in supporting our sales teams and wider business through accurate administrative processes, data handling, and performance reporting. You’ll work as part of our data team, whose insights and analytics help inform commercial decisions across the organisation.
We’re looking for someone who’s not only confident in managing day-to-day tasks, but is also collaborative and willing to work across adhok projects with the management team. While this role is well-suited to someone with existing experience in administration or sales support, we also offer access to structured learning opportunities, including relevant courses and apprenticeships, for those who want to build on their expertise. The position is based in the North East, with initial training taking place in York. After training, the role will transition to home working, offering flexibility while remaining connected to a collaborative and supportive team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
