Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Automation Engineer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for automation, data workflows, and software enhancement.

A key part of this role involves designing and implementing macros to simplify and accelerate data extraction, validation, and reporting processes. Candidates must have a firm knowledge of macro development, particularly in Excel (VBA) or other relevant environments.

Development of the role will include other alternatives to macros to improve automation. These may include Power Automate, Power Query, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or API scripts.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Solid experience with macro development (e.g., Excel VBA or similar tools).
  • Basic experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar).
  • Understanding of data validation and transformation processes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with housing or property data.
  • Experience working with APIs or integrating systems.
  • Exposure to survey or asset management software.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (e.g., Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI or custom scripts for API or Python).
