We are looking for a practical, organised and financially skilled person who can provide hands-on financial support to the senior managers responsible for these services.

This is a hands-on finance role, providing dedicated financial administrative and operational support to our Assistant Director and Heads of Service and budget holders.

You will take responsibility for supporting the management team with detailed day-to-day financial processing and monitoring which sits behind effective service management, ensuring that transactions, records and financial information are accurate, timely and well controlled.

Key Responsibilities

As the Business & Finance Support Officer you will:

  • Undertake day-to-day financial processing, including raising purchase orders, goods receipting and processing invoices;
  • Raise debtor invoices and support the monitoring and reconciliation of income;
  • Identify miscoding and prepare and post journals, corrections and recharges;
  • Prepare salary, budget monitoring and other financial information;
  • Support budget setting, budget monitoring and year-end accounts processes;
  • Prepare financial schedules, working papers and accrual information;

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
