We have an exciting opportunity for a Business and Technical Implementation Manager to join Royal London and support the migration of Life and Pensions books from its legacy mainframe environment to Integro. This is a key risk-reduction programme that will provide a robust platform for the long-term administration of the book.
You will provide a single point of focus across business readiness, technical implementation, data migration, testing, cutover, service transition and post-go-live support. Working across business, technology, operational and supplier teams, you will ensure the migration is delivered safely, with clear evidence for go/no-go decisions and a controlled handover into business as usual.
More About the Role:
- Create and manage an integrated implementation plan covering business and technical readiness, data migration, testing, service integration, communications, cutover, warranty and handover.
- Lead readiness governance and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations for key go/no-go decisions.
- Coordinate operational readiness across Group Operations, Finance, Actuarial, Commercial and other impacted teams.
- Bring together application, test, data migration, infrastructure, service management and supplier teams to confirm technical readiness.
- Own the cutover command structure, migration runbook, checkpoint timetable, triage arrangements, escalation routes and communications cadence.
- Manage implementation risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions, escalating with clear options and impact statements.
- Drive the transition into business as usual, including service guidance, known issues, early-life support and warranty exit criteria.
- Capture lessons learned and develop reusable approaches for future migrations.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
