Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Leeds, UK (2-3 days a week)
Job Type: 6 Months FTC
Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
- Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle
- Support solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test scenarios and validating outcomes
- Maintain requirement traceability and manage changes to scope
- Prepare documentation such as BRD, FRD, process flows, use cases, and reports
- Provide insights using data analysis and support decision-making
- Act as a liaison to ensure smooth communication between business and technical teams

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (varies by role level)
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
- Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques and documentation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, Visio, Power BI (or similar)

Preferred Skills (Optional)
- Domain experience (Banking, Finance, Healthcare, Retail, etc.)
- Knowledge of SQL, data analysis, or reporting tools
