Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Leeds, UK (2-3 days a week)
Job Type: 6 Months FTC

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement and optimization
  • Collaborate with product owners, developers, QA, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support solution design and ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) by preparing test scenarios and validating outcomes
  • Maintain requirement traceability and manage changes to scope
  • Prepare documentation such as BRD, FRD, process flows, use cases, and reports
  • Provide insights using data analysis and support decision-making
  • Act as a liaison to ensure smooth communication between business and technical teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst (varies by role level)
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
  • Proficiency in requirement-gathering techniques and documentation
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, Visio, Power BI (or similar)
