Business Application Support Analyst

Full-time, Maternity Cover (12 Months)
Remote with travel as and when required

The Role:

Are you passionate about technology and problem-solving? Join us as a Systems Support Analyst and play a key role in keeping our ERP and core business systems running smoothly. You'll help support the technology that underpins the operations and strategic success of James Fisher & Sons, working to resolve issues, deliver system improvements, and ensure our critical business applications perform at their best.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide first-line support for ERP and core business systems, including Microsoft Business Central and IFS.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, engaging external support partners when required.
  • Support system implementations, upgrades, and continuous improvements.
  • Partner with stakeholders across the business to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Deliver user training and maintain system documentation and guidance materials.
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring reliability, data integrity, and security.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to integrate business systems and optimise system effectiveness.

What we're looking for:

  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Business Central or IFS.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of business processes, systems integration, and data migration.
  • Familiarity with SQL and database management would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and detail-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Experience in organisational change management, data migration, system implementation and migration will be advantageous.
