Business Applications Director

A large international technology business is looking for a Business Applications Director to join their team and lead and deliver a portfolio of improvement projects for IT Systems and Business Applications.

This global business is expanding and is looking for an experienced Director to lead the Business Systems Landscape and create scalable solutions to drive the next stage of growth.

Role Overview

In this role, you will:

  • Develop the business systems roadmap
  • Lead a portfolio of projects to drive a best-of-breed enterprise applications approach
  • Manage the financial systems department

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will:

  • Develop and drive the ongoing IT strategy for Financial Systems and Enterprise applications
  • Drive new technologies such as AI and Automation

Ideal Candidate

  • 10+ years' experience in Business Systems or IT Finance Applications, including in a Senior Management role
  • Strong business process and commercial understanding to translate business growth strategy into Enterprise Systems strategy and drive delivery at all levels of the organisation
  • Prior experience in an international technology scale-up business
  • Change Management and Stakeholder engagement skills - not afraid to get hands-on to win the hearts and minds of your team and End-Users across the business
  • ERP expertise and Business Transformation experience, e.g. Greenfield ERP Implementations, Finance Digitalisation programmes, ERP upgrades or improvement initiatives, or international Finance System rollout experience with experience of SAP and Oracle applications (e.g. Oracle Fusion, EBS, Netsuite) or similar

This is a senior leadership position and will suit a Business Systems Transformation Director, Financial Systems Lead, or Head of Enterprise Systems Director with strong people management skills, commercial knowledge and ability to engage with senior stakeholders and define and deliver a roadmap according to business strategy.
