Gigged AI is an on-demand talent marketplace specialising in the IT and technology sector. We have an opportunity live at the moment for a Business Applications Support - Outside IR35 (Scotland Based). This is a hybrid role in Scotland, flexible on onsite presence.

Location: Scotland, occasional onsite presence
Duration: Initial 6 months, scope for 12-18 months

Overview

Our client uses a range of business applications - Project Planning, Project Estimating and Cost Management, Document Control, CRM, and Crewing solutions - to support delivery of large-scale projects. This role provides second-line support across these applications, working directly with users to resolve issues and liaising with software vendors on fixes. Sits within the Corporate IT Team with a global remit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level-2 support for allocated applications and manage incidents/tasks in ServiceNow
  • Liaise with third-party support providers and software vendors to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Co-ordinate change requests, upgrades, and testing in line with company procedures
  • Monitor the health of critical applications and supporting infrastructure
  • Work with other Operational IT teams on cross-functional fixes and projects
  • Maintain application environments and supporting documentation

Person Specification

  • Degree in IT or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years in application support, with awareness of incident and change management (ITIL)
  • Strong problem-solving, customer-focused service delivery, and communication skills
  • Understanding of underlying IT infrastructure: Microsoft Azure, Windows Server/desktop, application packaging and deployment, multi-tier application configuration, SQL Server, and Power Platform
  • Experience producing technical documentation (specs, configuration rationale, test cases)
  • Professional, reliable, and a strong team player

Salary: 250 - 280 GBP Per day
