Summary
A great opportunity to learn all aspects of our business! From buying components and materials from suppliers, understanding supply chain operations, developing sales/service/marketing skills. You will be responsible for day-to-day customer enquiries, quotes and order processing and be involved in invoicing, logistics and office management.
Wage: £16,640 a year
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm, 30-minutes for lunch plus 3x10-minute breaks. 40 hours a week
Start date: Monday 19 October 2026
Duration: 1 year 3 months

Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience. What you'll do at work:
- Buying components

- Processing customer orders

Training provider: WEST BERKSHIRE TRAINING CONSORTIUM
Training course: Business administrator (level 3)
What you'll learn:
- Skilled in the use of multiple IT packages and systems relevant to the organisation in order to write letters or emails, create proposals, perform financial processes, record and analyse data.
- Produces accurate records and documents including emails, letters, files, payments, reports and proposals.
- Demonstrates good communication skills, whether face-to-face, on the telephone, in writing or on digital platforms.
- Uses the most appropriate channels to communicate effectively.
- Understands and applies social media solutions appropriately.
- Answers questions from inside and outside of the organisation, representing the organisation or department.
Training schedule:
Business Administrator Level 3. Group training will be one day a month. This is tutor led and there is either a remote training or in person, at our offices in Newbury. Apprentices also have a 1-1 training and review meeting with their WBTC Training Consultant.
Requirements
Essential qualifications:
GCSE in: English (grade 4)
Maths (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
