Business Architect – Operating Model | Public Sector | Inside IR35
📍 Remote (very infrequent travel to South London) 💷 £650/day, Inside IR35 ⏳ 12 months 🔐 SC Clearance – must be active
We're looking for a senior Business Architect to lead organisational design and operating model transformation for a large-scale engineering organisation within a major public sector programme. You'll work directly with senior stakeholders to design future-state organisational structures, clarify accountabilities, define supporting governance, and oversee the implementation of change - ensuring business outcomes, service delivery and product lifecycles are fully aligned with the teams that support them.

What we're looking for:
- ✅ Proven track record as a senior Business Architect delivering operating model transformation in large, complex organisations
- ✅ Strong grounding in organisational design principles - flow, ownership, impediment removal, team interaction models
- ✅ Experience defining KPIs, outcomes and value metrics for organisational success
- ✅ Background establishing product-centric or platform-centric operating models
- ✅ Confident engaging and influencing senior stakeholders up to C-Suite
- ✅ Strong workshop facilitation and executive-level communication skills
- ✅ Experience in regulated, governance-driven environments — public sector strongly preferred

- ➕ Familiarity with Agile/DevOps/product-led engineering operating models
- ➕ Experience building communities of practice and capability frameworks
