Accenture is a company that will allow you to learn, grow and advance in an innovative culture that flourishes with shared success, innovative ways of thinking and enables boundaryless opportunities that can drive your career in new and exciting ways.

The Opportunity

Working within the General Insurance sector of Accenture’s Insurance Technology business, you will be working on large-scale technology and systems integrations projects. You will be responsible for defining the architectural vision – designing solutions, and defining the integration of various systems and applications - typically anchored around a core Policy Admin or Claims System like Guidewire. This role involves working closely with our clients to understand their business requirements and develop the architectural roadmap. You will play a critical role in ensuring that defined solutions are efficient, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

In this role you will:

  • Work with the client stakeholders to define high-level application, business, and technical blueprint and requirements aligned to the key functional and business capabilities that need to be implemented.
  • Translate complex business requirements from Claims operational stakeholders — including claims handlers, adjusters, and management — into clear functional designs and solution specifications.
  • Define which application components are required to implement each of the required functional and business capabilities, which component will be built vs. re-used vs. integrated with, and how.
  • Define how the components of all the applications relate to each other, and how they will support the capability or business area.
  • Understand the capabilities and limitations of the technical components and key domain applications.
  • Define the integration of various systems, applications, and data sources to ensure seamless communication and data flow.
  • Provide Guidewire leadership and guidance to design and development teams, ensuring best practices and standards are followed across development, runtime, and operations architecture.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
