Job Overview

We want you to join our innovative and caring InPatient team within Adult Eating Disorders.

You will be an integral part of the team, providing administrative support to the ward team, the wider admin team, external agencies, patients and families.

This demanding role will require the post holder to use their full range of administrative skills to ensure an efficient service is provided.

You will work alongside clinical and nursing staff to support the provision of high-quality care to patients and their families, to ensure a smooth transition through the service.

You will need to have excellent organisational and communication skills to be able to prioritise your work effectively, working both on your own using your initiative to solve problems and as part of the wider Adult Eating Disorders Team. A good general knowledge of IT systems is essential including skill in using Microsoft Packages.

The Role Comprises a Wide Range Of Specific Duties

  • Monitoring the email inbox for incoming referrals and ensure that these are actioned in a timely manner.
  • Managing paperwork in relation to admission and discharge of patients.
  • Ensuring that electronic patient record is up-to-date and that patient and carer contact details are verified.
  • Booking and outcoming CPA appointments
  • Scanning patient documentation onto SystmOne
  • Ensuring that stock for the ward is ordered in a timely manner and there are adequate supplies of required equipment.
  • Adhoc ordering of supplies and equipment.
  • Minuting of Ward Operational Meeting
  • Reporting Estates and IT issues and monitoring their progress to completion.
