Due to ongoing growth, we are seeking to appoint a Business Central Consultant to strengthen our team and drive successful project delivery.
ROLE SPECIFICATION
About the role:
As a Business Central Consultant, you will play a central role in delivering Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions for our clients. You will lead discovery and requirements sessions, design and configure Business Central to meet client needs, and ensure smooth implementation and effective user adoption.
You will work closely with stakeholders across finance, operations, and IT, supporting the full project lifecycle from initial scoping through to go-live and post-implementation support. The role reports directly to the Head of Business Applications and includes regular client site visits for workshops, discovery sessions, and user training.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central within a Microsoft partner
- Strong understanding of Business Central functional areas, including:
- Financial Management
- Supply Chain & Inventory
- Sales & Purchasing
- Manufacturing
- Jobs/Project Accounting or Service Management (advantageous)
- Proven ability to lead requirements-gathering sessions, conduct fit/gap analysis, and produce high-quality solution designs.
- Proven expertise in configuring Business Central to align with client processes and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical and functional solutions.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, able to engage effectively with users and senior decision-makers.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
DESIRABLE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
You may also demonstrate:
- Experience with the Power Platform (Power BI reporting, Power Apps, Power Automate workflows).
- Relevant and current Microsoft Certifications (e.g., MB-800).
- Knowledge of Azure services and integration approaches with Business Central.
- Familiarity with AL development principles and the extensions model (functional understanding rather than coding expertise).
- Experience working within a consultancy or professional services environment.
- Understanding of project delivery methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches.
- A strong commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with Microsoft technologies.
- Experience mentoring junior consultants or supporting internal knowledge-sharing.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation across client solutions.
