Business Central Developer – Contract

Remote | up to £400 per day | Outside IR35 | Initial 6 months

We’re looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Developer to join a growing technology team and take ownership of the continued development and improvement of a business-critical ERP platform.

This is a hands-on contract where you’ll work closely with the ERP Technical Lead, building new functionality, developing integrations and improving the existing Business Central environment. There’s a good mixture of project development and BAU, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable owning work end-to-end – understanding a requirement, designing the solution, developing it in AL and seeing it through testing and release.

What you’ll be working on

  • Designing and developing Business Central extensions using AL
  • Building new functionality across finance, operations, sales, purchasing, inventory and customer workflows
  • Developing and maintaining integrations between Business Central and wider platforms using APIs and web services
  • Translating business and functional requirements into practical technical solutions
  • Working directly with the ERP Technical Lead on solution design and implementation
  • Taking ownership of development through build, testing and release
  • Supporting and improving CI/CD and deployment processes
  • Troubleshooting Business Central customisations, integrations and production issues
  • Identifying performance or concurrency issues and implementing improvements
  • Contributing to code reviews, testing standards and technical documentation

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
