Expleo is seeking an experienced Business Change Consultant with deep practical expertise in Pharmaceutical and Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing to support strategic consulting and business transformation initiatives across the Life Sciences sector.
The successful candidate will combine extensive industry experience with strong consulting capability to advise executive stakeholders, evaluate strategic opportunities, and help clients shape future manufacturing and operational strategies. Working closely with senior client leadership, the consultant will provide evidence-based recommendations, challenge existing thinking, assess emerging technologies, and support the development of transformation roadmaps that deliver measurable business value.
The role requires an individual who has operated within complex GMP-regulated environments and can translate real-world operational experience into strategic advice for pharmaceutical and biotechnology organisations.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership teams, providing strategic guidance on manufacturing transformation, operational excellence and future business capability.
- Lead strategic consulting engagements focused on the future of Life Sciences and Biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Advise clients on strategic investment decisions, business capability development and manufacturing transformation programmes.
- Assess strategic initiatives and develop robust business cases supported by industry insight, market analysis and operational expertise.
- Lead strategic foresight initiatives focused on future manufacturing trends, emerging technologies and industry disruption.
- Identify emerging trends, opportunities, risks and competitive challenges across the Life Sciences sector.
- Develop research hypotheses, strategic options and future-focused analytical frameworks.
- Analyse developments in Digital Manufacturing, Industrial Automation, Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Analytics.
- Assess the impact of sustainability initiatives, energy optimisation and evolving regulatory requirements on manufacturing operations and business strategy.
- Evaluate future manufacturing operating models, technology investments and transformation strategies.
- Develop and validate future-state scenarios for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing organisations.
- Translate industry, operational and technology insights into clear strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders.
- Facilitate executive workshops, strategy sessions and business change discussions with client leadership teams.
- Provide independent challenge, strategic insight and informed recommendations to support executive decision making.
- Act as the lead Life Sciences consultant and domain expert across strategic consulting and transformation engagements.
- Validate research findings and provide expert interpretation of market, operational, manufacturing and regulatory developments.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and industry partners across the Life Sciences ecosystem.
- Conduct executive interviews and engage with industry leaders to gather, validate and synthesise strategic insight.
- Support industry forums, advisory groups and thought leadership initiatives, representing Expleo as a recognised industry expert.
- Leverage AI-enabled research and consulting tools to improve the quality, accuracy and relevance of strategic analysis and recommendations.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Manufacturing or a related discipline.
- Master's degree, MBA or other advanced qualification preferred.
- Relevant certifications in Manufacturing, Automation, Digital Transformation, Business Change, Strategy, Lean, Operational Excellence or Project Management would be advantageous.

Desired Skills Experience
- Significant experience working within Pharmaceutical and/or Biopharmaceutical manufacturing organisations.
- Demonstrable experience advising senior business leaders on strategic initiatives, operational transformation or manufacturing modernisation.
- Practical experience delivering business change, digital transformation or manufacturing improvement programmes within regulated environments.
- Experience developing strategic recommendations, business cases and investment justifications for complex initiatives.
- Experience working with executive stakeholders including Directors, and C-suite leaders.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
