Business Change Manager
Would you like to help shape how change is delivered and embedded across NHS Shared Business Services? As our Business Change Manager, you’ll lead the change initiatives associated with business transformation projects across our Finance & Accounting services. You’ll connect projects and programmes with business readiness, colleague adoption and benefits realisation, helping new ways of working deliver lasting value with minimal disruption.
NHS Shared Business Services has delivered major programmes, onboarded new customers and supported significant service improvements in recent years. As our transformation journey continues, you’ll join a collaborative and supportive team with strong cross-functional working. You’ll work closely with project teams, operational leaders and stakeholders across the organisation to understand impacts, prepare the business for change and help colleagues adopt new services, systems and processes successfully.
The role is based in Leeds and follows a Hybrid Variable working arrangement.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximise colleague adoption, minimise resistance and embed change effectively.
- Support client onboarding and transition activities by ensuring organisational readiness, stakeholder engagement and successful adoption of new services and platforms.
- Assess change impacts and business readiness, present findings and develop targeted interventions that support informed decision-making and successful adoption.
- Integrate change management activities into project delivery plans, working with project managers, programme teams and operational leaders.
- Oversee training needs analysis and coordinate training that equips colleagues with the knowledge, skills and confidence to adopt change.
- Support benefits realisation planning and track business outcomes to assess the effectiveness and impact of change initiatives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
