Role: Business Change Manager

Location: London - Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 6 months with a likely extension
Daily Rate: Competitive, Inside IR35

Shape the adoption of AI-enabled ways of working across a major CLIENT AI Programme.

We are seeking an experienced Business Change Manager to lead people change, business readiness, stakeholder engagement, communications and adoption activities for key elements of the CLIENT AI Programme. This role will play a critical part in ensuring AI-enabled ways of working are successfully embedded across the organisation.

About the Role

You will work closely with senior stakeholders, business teams and product-based technology delivery teams to support the rollout of AI solutions, with a particular focus on business readiness, adoption and sustainable change. Experience supporting the implementation of AI solutions, especially Agentic AI, would be highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver change management activities to support the successful implementation of AI programme initiatives.
  • Help shape rollout approaches, deployment strategies and adoption plans to maximise business readiness and uptake.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement across senior leaders, business teams and technology delivery teams.
  • Assess business impacts and develop strategies to support adoption, manage resistance and embed new ways of working.
  • Design and deliver communications, engagement and knowledge-sharing activities to build awareness, understanding and confidence in AI solutions.
  • Drive business readiness activities, ensuring people, processes and teams are prepared for change.
  • Provide governance, oversight and quality assurance of training plans and deliverables developed by third-party suppliers.
  • Monitor adoption and change outcomes, identifying risks and implementing actions to maximise uptake and benefits realisation.
  • Provide business change expertise and advice to programme, business and technology stakeholders.

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience, typically 8+ years, delivering business change and transformation initiatives within large, complex organisations.
  • Proven experience developing and implementing change management strategies, rollout approaches and adoption plans.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging and influencing senior leaders, business stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Experience leading business readiness, adoption and implementation activities for technology-enabled change programmes.
  • Experience designing and delivering communications, engagement and awareness activities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, suppliers and third parties to deliver change, communications, learning and adoption outcomes.
  • Ability to monitor adoption outcomes, identify risks and issues, and implement actions to maximise benefits realisation.
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies, tools and techniques.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and relationship management skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably within financial services, government, regulatory bodies or similarly complex organisations.
  • Experience supporting the implementation and adoption of Artificial Intelligence solutions, including Generative AI and/or Agentic AI.
  • Experience working with product-based technology delivery teams and agile delivery approaches.
  • Familiarity with benefits management and measuring adoption and business value from digital transformation initiatives.
  • Relevant professional qualifications or certifications in Change Management such as Prosci, APMG Change Management, MSP or similar.
