Business Change Partner
Birmingham | Up to £58,000 | Office-based 3 days per week
We are seeking an experienced Business Change Partner to lead the people side of change across a range of organisational projects and transformation initiatives. This is a great opportunity for a confident change professional who can translate project activity into successful adoption, helping colleagues and stakeholders prepare for, engage with and embed new ways of working.
A recognised change management qualification, such as APMG Change Management Practitioner, Prosci Change Practitioner or equivalent is needed for this role.
About the role
As Business Change Partner, you will plan and deliver business change activity for assigned projects, ensuring impacted colleagues are engaged, informed, prepared and supported throughout transition. You will work closely with delivery teams, senior stakeholders, internal communications, learning and development, HR and operational teams to ensure change lands well and intended benefits are realised.
Key responsibilities
- Lead business change activities across projects and change initiatives, ensuring colleagues are prepared for and supported through change.
- Carry out stakeholder analysis and business impact assessments to understand how change will affect people, processes, systems and ways of working.
- Develop business change, engagement and communication plans that support successful adoption.
- Assess, monitor and report on business readiness, stakeholder engagement and change adoption.
- Identify and manage change risks, issues, dependencies and barriers to adoption, recommending practical mitigation actions.
- Work with Learning and Development to identify training needs and coordinate effective support.
- Establish and support change champion networks to build engagement and advocacy.
- Support mobilisation, go-live and embedding activity to ensure new ways of working are sustained.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of change frameworks, standards, tools and good practice.

About you
- Experience delivering change activity across projects involving processes, systems, services, structures or ways of working.
- Strong knowledge of structured change management approaches and the ability to tailor them to different environments.
- Practical experience of stakeholder analysis, impact assessment, readiness planning, transition support and post-implementation adoption.
- Ability to develop engagement and communication plans and build effective relationships with managers, senior stakeholders and impacted colleagues.
- Confidence identifying resistance, barriers or risks to adoption and developing suitable interventions.
- Experience working with HR, Communications, Learning and Development and operational teams to coordinate change support.

What we’re looking for
- A recognised change management qualification, such as APMG Change Management Practitioner, Prosci Change Practitioner or equivalent.
- Evidence of relevant continuing professional development in business change, stakeholder engagement, facilitation, organisational change or project delivery.
- Strong facilitation, communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to provide practical business change advice, constructive challenge and insight.
- Understanding of how culture, leadership behaviour and colleague experience influence sustainable change.
