The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Change Project Manager to join Robert Walters as a Consultant.

You will be permanently employed by Robert Walters and deployed on assignment with a major international consumer bank in Edinburgh. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your project and change management experience within a high-profile financial services environment, with ongoing training and professional support.

This role is approximately 70% project delivery focused, working closely with Business, Technology, Product, and Operations teams to deliver initiatives impacting Customer Operations.

You will manage projects from initiation through to delivery, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder and dependency management, risk and issue management, and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate business and technology change initiatives impacting Customer Operations.
  • Manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, and deliverables.
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, Delivery, and Operations teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure Operations is prepared and operationally ready for new products, services, processes, and technology.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of seniority.
  • Provide clear project reporting and maintain robust governance and documentation.
  • Identify, manage, and escalate risks and issues appropriately.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement across project delivery and change processes.

About You

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager, Business Change Manager, or Change Project Manager with strong end-to-end project delivery experience.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience managing business change or transformation projects from initiation through to implementation.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, governance, risk and issue management, dependencies, and reporting.
  • Experience delivering change within Operations, Customer Service, or Contact Centre environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with Technology, Product, and/or Delivery teams.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing without direct authority.
  • A disciplined approach to process, governance, and quality.

Desirable Experience

  • Project or change management experience within financial services, banking, or other regulated environment.
  • Experience delivering technology-enabled business change.
  • Experience working in a high-growth or transformation environment.
  • JIRA and Confluence experience.
