Business Consultant - South and West Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire

£32K basic + £24K OTE + Car Allowance + Broadband Allowance

Our dermalogica Business Consultants are responsible for the sales performance in the assigned geographical territory. You drive incremental growth of all assigned accounts by creating joint business plans, establishing a regular call cycle, creating a communications strategy, conducting market events, and helping the accounts to increase sell out of Dermalogica.

You create community and best practice models through networking events and linking of peers while amplifying dermalogica advocates to inspire others.

You will be required to open new accounts and assume complete responsibility for establishing incremental growth and +50% replenishment within year one, in all new accounts on territory.

You must have an acute sense of commercial awareness. Be able to evaluate current performance and be proactive in finding opportunities and activities to help drive territory to meet incremental targets.

Education and/or Experience

Minimum of two years field sales experience, preferably in the beauty industry or consumer goods required. Experience with servicing salons, spas, physician’s offices and the “sole proprietor” customer base an advantage. Client building experience is a real plus. Qualified skin care therapist helpful.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Master Dermalogica product knowledge and skin care techniques, and clearly understand how they differ from competitors
  • Take responsibility for maintaining skills through proactive attendance on dermalogica training and workshops alongside self learning
  • The ideal candidate should understand the requirements of today’s skin care centers and be reliable, dedicated and willing to work as part of a winning team
  • You will conduct the necessary market analysis needed to identify the company´s current position and stay up to date with the latest industry trends.
  • You will be a team player and proactively collaborate with your peers to share best practice
  • As an ambassador of Dermalogica, the candidate must incorporate the company’s mission and commitment to its business partners at every point of contact with both internal and external clients
  • Persuasive and sincere communicator with expertise in negotiation and sales
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient in email, social media, and spreadsheets desirable.
  • Multi-tasking and strong attention to detail
  • Customer service oriented
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Meets all growth and KPI targets monthly, quarterly, and annually while delivering on company strategy and vision.
  • Grows incremental sales revenue through effective execution of a strategic sales call plan, meeting reach and frequency goals.
  • Responsible for all new and existing business within given sales territory. This may include evening customer events, business development sessions with the PST team, regular virtual events/meetings. Additionally, prospecting and cold calling businesses as well as presenting to potential accounts and opening new doors is a fundamental requirement.
  • Assures attendance of Skin Therapists at Dermalogica education classes with a goal for them to achieve Expert status.
  • Visit all colleges on assigned territory a minimum of once per quarter to secure student relationships as their future business partner while driving revenue opportunities within each college.
  • Maintains a strong social media presence that is professional and on brand and drives your territory engagement.
  • Engages in social live content with accounts
  • Helps to grow new business by identifying and connecting with potential new prospects.
  • Be able to report with accuracy your territory sales performance and forecast with activities shown to achieve targets.
  • Be able to report on every account assigned in regards to purchasing patterns and take appropriate action to mitigate risk as required.
  • Manages business and administrative responsibilities including: timely submission of regional business plans, logging of sales calls and calendar activities in Sugar, submission of expense reports as well as other sales reports as defined by their Regional Manager.
  • Works regional trade shows, events and other Dermalogica programs as specified by the Regional Manager.
  • Attends all training, meetings and events required and takes responsibility for development where there are skill gaps.
  • Travels daily by car to visit accounts. The position requires regular attendance at sales meetings such as monthly meetings and annual sales meetings which may require overnights. Participating in regional or national trade shows may be a requirement and those events often overlap with weekends.
  • Maintains and assures a safe work environment, embracing safe driving practices.
