Job Description
We are looking for a Business Continuity Management (BCM) Consultant to support the delivery of business continuity activities across a range of business and functional areas.
This is a hands-on role working alongside business stakeholders to complete Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), develop and maintain continuity documentation, and support the adoption of consistent BCM processes.
The role would suit someone with practical BCM or operational resilience experience who is comfortable engaging with stakeholders, working through defined activities and producing clear, usable documentation.
Due to the nature of the client environment, existing SC clearance would be advantageous, although candidates who are eligible to undergo clearance will also be considered.

Responsibilities
- Support business and functional teams with day-to-day BCM activities.
- Complete and update Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans and supporting documentation.
- Help identify critical activities, dependencies, recovery requirements and continuity risks.
- Support the use and improvement of BCM templates, processes and tooling.
- Track actions and help teams address gaps identified through BCM activity.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure continuity documentation is practical, accurate and kept up to date.
- Support knowledge transfer to permanent team members so continuity arrangements can be maintained effectively.
- Work collaboratively with the wider programme, risk and resilience teams.

Experience
- Previous experience working within business continuity, operational resilience, risk or a related area.
- Practical experience supporting or completing Business Impact Analyses and/or business continuity plans.
- An understanding of critical activities, dependencies, recovery requirements and continuity risks.
- Comfortable engaging with business stakeholders to gather information and work through BCM activities.
- Good written communication and documentation skills.
- Organised and able to manage assigned tasks through to completion.
- Experience within a complex or regulated organisation would be beneficial.
