Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Continuity & Resilience Officer to support and enhance our client's Operational Resilience and Business Continuity Management programmes. This role is ideal for someone with experience in UK Financial Services who is ready to take ownership of continuity planning, resilience governance, and stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
You will work closely with business stakeholders to maintain Business Impact Analyses (BIAs), Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), and wider Operational Resilience documentation. You will provide guidance, challenge, and training to ensure our resilience framework meets regulatory expectations and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and challenge Business Impact Analyses (BIAs) and Business Continuity Plans (BCPs)
- Review recovery strategy testing outputs and provide recommendations
- Deliver training and guidance on Business Continuity and Operational Resilience best practice
- Support governance documentation including business service classification, critical path mapping, resource mapping and impact tolerance setting
- Assist with Operational Resilience scenario testing
- Conduct Business Continuity and Operational Resilience due diligence on third-party suppliers
- Contribute to risk reporting, dashboards and committee papers
- Maintain 2nd line policies, standards and guidance documents
- Support the Senior Operational Resilience Manager and Risk Director in developing and maturing resilience programmes

- 2+ years’ experience in business continuity, operational resilience or technology resilience within UK Financial Services
- Strong understanding of Business Continuity best practice
- Knowledge of FCA Operational Resilience requirements
- Experience reviewing and challenging continuity plans and test results
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical guidance
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and risk management tools
