The Business Controls Manager will maintain an adequate financial control environment across the TwiningsOvaltine (TwO) international beverages business, provide detailed financial analysis for the business and lead finance projects across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination and delivery of the internal audit plan by Associated British Foods (ABF) Internal Audit and external third parties (where required), working with the TwO CFO and key stakeholders across the group
- Act as principal point of contact for external auditors, including co-ordination of fees and external audit timetable
- Annually (or as required) review risk management processes across the business
- Manage internal self-certification processes (Turnbull, FCFQ);
- Coordinate and review management/peer-review of internal controls (Financial Control Checkpoints)
- Monitor resolution of control issues across the group
- Work with Local Implementation Managers to ensure that Anti-Bribery and Corruption policies are appropriately communicated and adequate procedures are in place in line with ABF policy
- Support in investigating any Whistleblowing claims raised across the group
- Lead and coordinate compliance related projects driven by TwO / ABF
- Support the Group Financial Controller in providing leadership and advice on technical accounting matters, and supporting / leading technical accounting projects (i.e. implementing IFRS 15, IFRS 16)
- Act as a Data Protection Coordinator for TwO Group, with responsibility to ensure compliance with GDPR
- Work with International HSE Manager to review TwO Group Greenhouse Gas and HSE Reporting to ABF
- Support Group IS Security Manager to monitor and implement IS security policies
- Act as facilitator and first point of contact between business units, ABF Legal and IP Attorney on trademark and IP matters.
- Provide financial support and analysis on Group Finance projects as required; projects here could span several weeks
- Support the Group Finance Analysts in reviewing and analysing forecast submissions, ensuring submissions are reasonable and appropriate
- Work with International Businesses on ad hoc queries and projects.

- Experience within auditing profession
- ACA Qualified
- Advanced computer literacy skills, including excel
