Role Overview
Robert Half have partnered with a Travel organisation to recruit for an experienced Business Data Analyst / Senior Business Analyst to support a major data and analytics programme within a large UK organisation.
The role will sit at the intersection of business analysis, data governance, data modelling and stakeholder management, helping to establish the frameworks, standards and processes required to enable organisations to share and use data effectively.
You will work closely with data engineers, programme teams, legal and commercial stakeholders, research and analytics teams, and a range of external organisations. The successful candidate will be comfortable translating complex data and governance requirements into practical frameworks, documentation and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and document data-sharing frameworks, standards and governance models.
- Define and develop data taxonomies, including common definitions for key metrics and data points.
- Establish data schema, metadata and data quality standards to support data harmonisation and interoperability.
- Define data governance processes covering data ownership, stewardship, access, participation criteria and change management.
- Work with technical teams to ensure business and governance requirements are reflected within data platforms and cataloguing solutions.
- Develop guidance around how data should be structured, presented and uploaded to maximise its value and compatibility with other datasets.
- Support the development of data-sharing agreements, rulebooks and permitted-use frameworks.
- Develop processes for participant accreditation, assurance and conformity assessment.
- Help establish appropriate data protection, security and assurance standards for organisations participating in the programme.
- Capture feedback and lessons learned from early programme participants and use this to continuously improve governance frameworks.
- Produce high-quality business analysis documentation, including:
- Process maps
- Requirements documentation
- Data models
- Governance frameworks
- RACI matrices
- Operating models
- Standards and toolkits

- Strong experience as a Business Data Analyst, ideally within a data-intensive environment.
- Proven experience working with data governance frameworks and data management principles.
- Experience with data modelling, data taxonomy and metadata/schema standards.
- Experience defining data ownership, stewardship, data quality and access control processes.
- Experience creating data-sharing agreements, governance frameworks, rulebooks or similar documentation.
- Good understanding of data cataloguing and governance platforms, ideally Databricks / Unity Catalog or an equivalent platform.
- Experience translating business requirements into practical technical and data governance requirements.
- Data marketplaces, data exchanges or data-sharing initiatives.
- Data products or platforms involving multiple external organisations.
Contract:
- Initial 6 month contract
- 2 days per week based in London
- Competitive Day Rate
