About The Company
ThreatModeler Software Inc. is industry’s #1 automated Threat modeling platform. The successful team members will initially support our services clients, where ThreatModeler was awarded a single or multi-year competitive contract. The effort is to perform client implementations, ranging from gathering client requirements for Threat modeling services and rolling out ThreatModeler’s platform across the enterprise.

Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a pivotal role in our organization's growth by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities. The primary purpose of this role is to generate opportunities for an Account Executive, qualify IB prospects, and initiate the sales process. BDRs are essential in the creation of the top of the funnel pipeline and expanding our outreach to not only the companies with current interest in us but the whole market.
Responsibilities
- Lead Generation: Proactively research and identify potential customers through various channels, including online research, social media, and industry-specific databases.
- Prospect Outreach: Initiate contact with prospects through phone calls, emails, and LinkedIn to introduce our products/services and generate interest.
- Qualification: Qualify leads by assessing their needs, budget, timeline, and decision-making process to determine if they are a viable sales opportunity.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule meetings or product demonstrations with qualified prospects for the Account Executive and partner Managers, ensuring a smooth handoff.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position our offerings and tailor pitches to the specific needs of the prospects.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all interactions with leads and prospects in our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your Account Executive to provide them with essential information and support their efforts in closing deals.
- Reporting: Will have daily and weekly reviews around metrics on lead generation, quantity/quality of outreach, and conversion rates to assess the effectiveness of outreach efforts.

Requirements
Essential Skills
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Sales Aptitude: Strong understanding of sales principles and the ability to identify and nurture sales opportunities.
- Research Skills: Proficiency in conducting online research to gather information about potential clients and industries.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational skills to manage leads, appointments, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Persistence: A tenacious and resilient mindset, with the ability to handle rejection and continue pursuing opportunities.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM software, email marketing tools, and other sales and marketing technologies, such as SalesLoft, ZoomInfo, Sales Nav.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and share insights for continuous improvement.

Desired Experience
- 3+ years of experience in enterprise-class software sales
- Previous BDR Experience: Prior experience in a BDR or similar role in a related industry is preferred.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the industry or market we operate in is a plus, as it can help in more targeted prospecting.
- Sales Training: Completion of sales training programs or courses related to lead generation and sales development.
