Job Description

Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 6 months with potential to extend
Work Set-Up: Onsite, 5 days per week

Our client in the global professional services industry is looking for a mid-level Business Developer, Pitch Work (Media Industry) professional to support project-based business development, pitch creation, and pipeline activity. The role will include a cusp role of business development, pitch work and administrative hands on media/producer duties. The ideal candidate brings relevant business development experience and has a media production background.

What you will do:

  • Support business development activities across the project-based pipeline.
  • Conceptualize responses based on senior stakeholder and client intake.
  • Build and write compelling pitch decks and supporting materials.
  • Develop budgets and work through campaign details.
  • Manage communication and supporting administrative activity within media/production.
  • Support lead generation and business development outreach tactics.
  • Contribute to generating new opportunities and new work into the pipeline.
  • Support forecasting and pipeline activity in an environment with continual churn.
  • Develop strong working relationships with client stakeholders and the wider client base.
  • Apply a strong business development mindset when identifying opportunities and supporting pitches.
  • Support the development of measurable business development KPIs as the team builds greater autonomy over its pipeline.
  • Learn and apply the team's proposition, pitching approach, deck structure, and writing style.
  • Contribute to broader project and administrative support as required.

Qualifications

  • Bring mid-level Business Development experience with a passion for growing business opportunities.
  • Demonstrate passion, enthusiasm, creativity, and a strong appetite to learn and develop.
  • Show strong client presence and confidence engaging with stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate the ability to sell, generate leads, and develop opportunities, with potential to progress toward ownership of a traditional business development pipeline.
  • Show willingness to take on both strategic business development work and administrative or supporting tasks.
  • Demonstrate strong organization and the ability to manage multiple pieces of work and supporting details.
  • Bring drive and initiative to grow into greater ownership and responsibility over time.
  • Agency, television, content or production background preferred.
  • New-business and pitch work experience.
  • Strong pitch deck writing and storytelling skills, with an understanding of end-to-end creative and video production.
  • Proactive, personable, creative and commercially minded.
