PURPOSE OF ROLE
The BD Analyst plays a key supporting role across Naked Energy's Business Development function, helping to turn prospects into contracted projects. The role combines energy and financial modelling, market research and bid data analysis to inform BD strategy, alongside coordination support across installer/partner communications, CRM management and logistics operations. Working closely with the Bid and Partnerships Manager and the wider BD team, the BD Analyst helps ensure accurate reporting, a well-managed pipeline, and smooth day-to-day execution as Naked Energy scales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Conduct energy modelling for prospecting sites
- Prepare financial models, proposals and quotes for Naked Energy
- Assist the Bid and Partnerships Manager with the preparation of weekly, monthly and Board reporting
- Perform market research to assist with BD strategy and execution (relevant market initiatives, subsidies, etc.)
- Analyse BD bid data and engagement to drive insights and improve conversion rates
- Support the BD team with preparation for meetings and client research, and support during customer meetings when required
Bids & Partner Coordination
- Assist in preparing and sending requests for quotation/information (RFQ/RFI) to potential installers and partners, based on project scope and requirements provided
- Assist in following up with installers and partners to help ensure timely responses
CRM Management
- Check CRM entries against recent project and sales activity, and flag any discrepancies or outdated information to the relevant team member
- Assist in pulling together pipeline reports, forecasts, and dashboards for board reporting and internal reviews, under guidance from management
- Support the wider team by ensuring CRM records are easy to find, complete, and reliable for day-to-day use
- Train and support team members on correct CRM usage and data entry standards
Logistics
- Plan, manage and evaluate logistics and procurement operations, liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
- Ensure the right products are delivered to the right location on time, to the quality required and in the most cost-effective way

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
- 2–4 years' experience in a business development, bid support, sales, or commercial/financial analyst role
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills, with experience preparing proposals, quotes or business cases
- Confident using CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive) and maintaining accurate, reliable data
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate it into clear insights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable liaising with internal teams
- Educated to degree level in Business, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple work-streams and support several stakeholders at once
Desirable
- Experience working in a fast-growing scale-up or SME environment
- Relevant experience in solar thermal, solar PVT, HVAC, or a comparable clean-tech / building-services environment
- Familiarity with energy modelling or solar design software
- Understanding of renewable energy subsidy schemes and the wider clean-tech market landscape
- Experience supporting logistics or procurement coordination
