Business Development and Account Manager

Magherafelt, County Londonderry (with hybrid working)

Lantra is a leading awarding body for land-based industries in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. We develop quality training courses and nationally recognised qualifications, delivered through a network of training Provider Partners.

Working with a range of partners, we promote opportunities within the sector to an increasingly diverse audience. Each year, over 116,000 learners access our courses across the UK, addressing skills challenges and supporting businesses with innovative solutions.

As we go through an exciting period of growth, we are now looking for a Business Development and Account Manager to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As Business Development and Account Manager, you will grow and support our network of training Providers and Instructors across Ireland, driving customer satisfaction and sustainable business growth.

Managing a portfolio of Providers, you will build strong relationships, develop account plans and promote our products, services and programmes to increase engagement and income. You will also identify new business opportunities, recruit new Providers and help expand our geographical coverage.

Supporting the growth and development of our Instructor network, you will identify skills gaps and emerging training needs while helping existing Instructors broaden their delivery capabilities.

Additionally, you will:

  • Conduct Provider account reviews and maintain accurate records
  • Undertake quality assurance visits and Instructor observations
  • Produce QA reports and monitor corrective actions
  • Support exhibitions, conferences and sector events
  • Provide secretarial support for Lantra Council meetings

About You

To be considered as a Business Development and Account Manager, you will need:

  • Experience of account management, customer relationship management or business development
  • Experience building and maintaining professional relationships with customers or stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and monitoring actions through to completion
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and CRM-type systems
  • To be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience
  • A full, valid driving licence, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel throughout Ireland
