Business Development Assistant

Salary: Competitive, can be disclosed during first stage interview.

Job Type: Permanent

Location: Swansea

Hybrid Working: 3 days in office, with the potential need to support events.

Supporting the Business Development function by delivering on specific KPIs targets within the EMEA region. Tasked to develop existing client relationships by qualifying and pursuing new client opportunities. Promoting & building the clients brand in accordance with their values and mission. Instrumental in raising the company profile by underpinning market facing activity whilst supporting internal business development activities and processes.

This role is perfect for anyone looking to develop their career in Sales and have ambitions to grow into more senior roles.

  • Qualify all leads by converting, tiering, and assigning to the relevant sales executive.
  • Set up appointments for Business Development Executives and Managers.
  • Action post event, delegate call feedback including feedback of lapsed customers.
  • Create new prospect target lists using appropriate tools, resources, and systems.
  • Create and distribute progress & performance reports.
  • Promote events through multiple sales channels.
  • Facilitate tactical promotion communications where appropriate i.e. VIP and social events including webinars and face-to-face events.
  • Meet any agreed KPIs set in relation to individual and team performance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to customer accounts when necessary.
  • Carry out any ad-hoc Business Development/Sales admin duties when required.

  • Experience in a Sales or Marketing and customer facing related role.
  • Able to build relationships both internally and externally through initiative and creativity.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English and at least one other modern European language.
  • Able to deliver against agreed KPIs and targets with a desire to hunt new leads.
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills including navigation of company website over the phone.
  • Good IT Skills, including experience of working with all Microsoft Office products.
  • Confidence in multi-channel communications including LinkedIn.

Desirable

  • Experience in closing qualified leads.
  • Experience in a client facing event space.
  • Knowledge of the Cyber Security sector.
  • Experience of using Salesforce and Tableau.
