The Role

Founders come to Pairs when they are raising. You run the first call: you read the business quickly, find out what is holding the raise back, and judge whether we can move it forward.

When the fit is real, you present our process and fees clearly and book the next step on the call. When it is not, you close the conversation cleanly and keep the door open.

Some founders are better served by our platform tier. For them, you run the demo and close it yourself.

The numbers matter on both sides. You weigh a company's revenue, burn and round structure in the first minutes, and you keep your own pipeline as precise as a financial model.

We sell access to investors, not promises. The expectations you set are the ones we deliver against, so you only commit to what we do.

You will work directly with the two co-founders and our closing team. The organisation is flat, so you will see first-hand how we screen companies, what we decline and why.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Will Own

  • First calls. A sharp read of each company and a clear answer on whether we can help.
  • Qualification. Who is raising, who decides, and what the raise actually needs.
  • The handoff. A next step booked on the call, and a written read for the person who runs it.
  • Your pipeline. Every founder you speak to, logged accurately and followed up until there is a clear outcome.

You Are a Fit If You

  • Have sold a financial, advisory or capital-markets service to founders or executives, and can walk us through a deal you won.
  • Read a company's numbers quickly and know which questions follow: revenue, burn, runway, round structure and committed capital.
  • Keep a disciplined pipeline. You can tell us your conversion rates from memory.
  • Set expectations you can stand behind. You never promise an outcome, and you would rather lose a deal than oversell one.
  • Handle objections on price and fit directly, once, without pressure.
  • Use AI tools daily, with clear judgement about where they improve your work and where they would compromise its quality.
