Business Development Associate | Financial Services

Location: City (fully office based)
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 DOE

Our client, an ambitious and growing tax relief firm, is looking for a Business Development Associate to join their expanding commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, sales-driven candidate to play a key role in generating new business and supporting the continued growth of the firm. You’ll be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective clients through outbound calls, LinkedIn, and other channels, with the opportunity to work closely with an inspiring and ambitious senior leadership team.

About the Role

  • Research and identify potential prospects and new business opportunities
  • Execute targeted outbound campaigns to generate new business leads
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of activity, leads, and pipeline
  • Consistently follow up with prospective clients to build relationships and deliver a high level of service
  • Follow up on warm leads and support the onboarding of new clients
  • Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams to refine messaging, campaigns, and lead quality
  • Build and leverage relationships with senior finance professionals to generate new opportunities

About You

  • Ambitious, confident, and comfortable working in a sales-focused environment
  • Previous experience in Experience within R&D Tax would be advantageous, as would an existing network of finance-sector contacts
  • A sales or business development role is essential
  • Proven track record of generating new business and delivering against targets
  • Target-driven, resilient, and motivated by results
  • Confident engaging with senior finance stakeholders, particularly CFOs and Finance Directors
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
