Business Development Associate

As a Business Development Associate at Verifile, you’ll help drive our growth by engaging with inbound enquiries, generating new opportunities through outbound activity and turning prospects into qualified sales conversations. You’ll build relationships, run discovery calls, manage your pipeline and use CRM, AI and sales technology to work smarter and improve conversion.
About the role:
- Generate new business through inbound enquiries, outbound prospecting and targeted campaigns.
- Build strong prospect relationships, understanding their needs and showcasing the right Verifile solutions.
- Lead impactful discovery calls, asking the right questions to uncover opportunities and qualify prospects.
- Own and manage the pipeline, keeping opportunities organised and progressing through the sales journey.
- Embrace AI and new technology to work smarter, improve conversion and deliver a great customer experience.
- Collaborate across the sales team, sharing insight and ensuring well-qualified opportunities are handed over smoothly.

The must haves:
- Sales experience in business development, telesales or another customer-facing role within a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Experience in HR, People Services, technology, SaaS, compliance or regulated services
- Passion for sales and building relationships, with confidence communicating by phone, video and email.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to ask great questions and listen to customer needs.
- Comfortable using CRM systems to manage and track sales opportunities.
- Organised and proactive, able to manage multiple opportunities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Motivated and determined, with the energy to succeed in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
The nice to haves:
- Experience with outbound sales, including prospecting and targeted campaigns.
- Experience using sales and prospecting tools alongside a CRM.
- An interest in AI and new technology and how it can improve the sales process.
- Ambition to develop a career in sales, with an interest in progressing into a Business Development Manager role.
- A qualification or ongoing study in sales, marketing or business is a plus.
